MS. THERESA A. HAAK

Ms. Theresa A. Haak is the Wing Civilian Director, 67th Cyberspace Wing, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. The 67th CW is Air Force Cyber’s execution arm for generating, projecting, and sustaining combat power with the employment of systems such as the Cyberspace Vulnerability Assessment/Hunt and the Network Attack cyber weapon systems. Ms. Haak serves as the 67th CW’s Senior Civilian, and Policy Advisor to the Commander. In this role, she is responsible for management and prioritization of mission-essential warfighter requirements for the wing’s weapon systems, increasing the capability of 67th CW operators to respond to the full range of cyberspace threats and to deliver effects to joint and coalition forces. Additionally, she advises the 67th CW Commander on the development of the wing civilian workforce and provides strategic guidance for wing civilian personnel.

Ms. Haak began her federal service career with the Cryptologic Systems Group at JBSA-Lackland. As an acquisition professional, she gained a diverse background executing multi-million dollar programs, providing cryptographic equipment to Air Force and NASA-owned space ground stations and satellites. As she transitioned to cyberspace, Ms. Haak served as a network analyst, requirements analyst, and program manager capturing cyberspace capability gaps to enhance network data monitoring, reporting, management, correlation, and visualization. Additionally, Ms. Haak spent time in the National Capital Region serving as the Technical Advisor of Detachment 1, 318th Cyberspace Operations Group. In this role she worked closely with senior leaders from partner agencies such as National Security Agency and the FBI to ensure AFCYBER initiatives were integrated into Department of Defense-level operations and exercises. Prior to her current role, she was the Technical Advisor of the 346th Test Squadron, responsible for leading cyberspace capability assessments for the Air Force and other mission partners. Ms. Haak worked in a 1 year career broadening role as Security Forces, Director Installation of the Future collaborating with Tyndall PMO to ensure SF equities were represented in the Tyndall/Offutt recovery and rebuild efforts on behalf of DAF/A4S.
