The federal safety councils are established by 29 CFR 1960 as a means to “facilitate the exchange of ideas and information to assist agencies to reduce the incidence, severity, and cost of occupational accidents, injuries, and illnesses.” Members include full-time safety and health personnel, employees with collateral duty safety and health responsibilities, and union representatives. Besides federal agencies, local organizations such as the Alamo and the Safety Council of Greater Alamo participate as associate members.
Here is the FFSHC Calendar. The events are also listed on the Home Page Calendar and under the Events tab.
If you would like to learn more about this council or become a member, please contact the Alamo FEB office at (210) 656-1860.
